We started with Victor bred Polled Hereford females with their roots in the Ogeechee herd from northeastern Oklahoma. In recent years we have added new genetics from a variety of blood lines – both polled and horned as we’ve built upon that foundation. We make breeding decisions through a thoughtful selection process designed to produce cattle with attributes that move our herd closer to our ideal in terms of genotype, phenotype and performance.

To put it in a nutshell, we breed for good cattle - especially good females. Those who do their job with minimal assistance, calm dispositions, do-ability, superior fertility, and carcass merit. Understanding the genotype that makes these cattle and then selecting for a consistent phenotype and disposition within this group is our process. Our females are home-raised. In addition, we often retain home-raised bulls with specific genetic profiles from our embryo transfer program. In doings so, we know the value of our cattle first-hand. Performance in the pasture is foremost -- performance in the show ring is the icing on the cake.
