We started with Victor bred Polled Hereford females with their roots in the Ogeechee herd from northeastern Oklahoma. In recent years we have added new genetics from a variety of blood lines – both polled and horned as we’ve built upon that foundation. Though we don't focus on raising bulls, we've sent bulls to test at OBI with great results. We have raised several of our own bulls and thus have experienced their value first-hand.
To put it in a nutshell, we breed for good cattle - especially good females. Those who do their job with minimal assistance, calm dispositions, do-ability, superior fertility, and carcass merit. Understanding the genotype that makes these cattle and selecting for a consistent phenotype within this group is our goal. Performance in the pasture is foremost-- performance in the show ring is the icing on the cake.
Our Embryo Transfer (ET) program continues to be a valuable in leveraging the impact of the best genetics we have available to us. Each flush is the culmination of a thoughtful selection process designed to produce cattle with attributes that move our herd closer to our ideal in terms of genotype, phenotype and performance.
We offer embryos through private treaty sales, state and national sales and the Inlaws & Outlaws Sale.
We recently became interested in Miniature Hereford cattle for Kenzie and Gus. Our research led us to several folks with well-bred minis combining both foundation and modern Miniature Hereford genetics. We are breeding and doing ET work now. We plan to have both cattle and embryos available soon.
Cattle for Sale
We offer replacement females, show heifers/steers and bulls by private treaty. Frequently these are cattle raised with our friends at Courtney Cattle Company.
