About the ranch.

Our story starts when John Millikan moved from Missouri and settled near Langley, OK, building the foundation for the ranch soon thereafter. The ranch has been home to the family and the herd since 1909. The land and the cattle have been handed down from one generation to the next with each generation refining the herd and adding their own mark. Though the names have changed over the generations: John & Gertrude Millikan – Floyd & Wilma Sloan – Richard & Susan Gebhart and now the Boyer and Mock families, the commitment to the cattle and the land have remained constant. Like many families managing multi-generation cattle herds, our work is a collaborative effort. We all have town jobs and we also have ranch jobs in pursuit of raising the “good ones” and caring for the land. Each member of the family brings a specific set of skills, but we all work toward a common goal.
